About

Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator providing neutral, professional mediation services via Zoom across Florida.

My Approach to Mediation

I believe that mediation works best when parties feel heard, respected, and empowered to make their own decisions. As a neutral mediator, my role is to facilitate conversation, clarify interests, and help explore options—not to judge, advise, or decide outcomes.

Every case is different. Some require careful attention to emotional dynamics. Others benefit from a focus on practical problem-solving. I adapt my approach to fit the needs of the people in the room (or on the Zoom call).

Certifications & Background

I am certified by the Florida Supreme Court in the following areas:

  • Family Mediation - Parenting plans, time-sharing, support, property division
  • Circuit Civil Mediation - Personal injury, contract disputes, civil litigation
  • County Mediation - Smaller claims, landlord-tenant, small business disputes
  • Appellate Mediation - Appeals pending before Florida courts

Why Zoom?

All sessions are conducted via Zoom. This isn’t just convenient—it’s often more effective. Parties can participate from a comfortable space, reducing stress and travel time. Attorneys can join from their offices. Documents can be shared instantly. Breakout rooms allow for private discussions when needed.

Zoom mediation is the standard for many Florida courts. I use secure, Zoom settings and provide clear joining instructions before every session.

Serving All of Florida

Because sessions are virtual, I can serve parties anywhere in Florida—from Pensacola to Key West, Jacksonville to Tampa. You don’t need to be in the same city or even the same county. Just a reliable internet connection and a private space to talk.

Confidentiality

Mediation is confidential under Florida law. What is said in mediation generally cannot be used in court. This confidentiality allows parties to speak openly, explore options, and negotiate without fear that their words will be used against them later.

There are limited exceptions (such as threats of harm or discussions of child abuse), which I explain at the start of every session.

Voluntary Process

Mediation is voluntary. You can’t be forced to agree to anything. Even if mediation is court-ordered, the outcome is still up to you. If you don’t reach an agreement, you can return to court or explore other options.

My job is to help facilitate the process, not to pressure anyone into a resolution they don’t feel comfortable with.
